TWPC confident in their first quarter numbers Ready to dive into new business line "Bioplastic"

Mrs. Orn-A-Nong Witchucharn (left), Group Chief Financial Officer and Ms. Ratinan Wongwatcharanon (right), Head of Corporate Communication and Sustainability of Thai Wah Public Company Limited (TWPC), market leader in manufacture and export of cassava starch, especially in fresh vermicelli and dry vermicelli, presented to investors, analysts, and press during the Opportunity Day for the performance of the year 2020, through an online platform. The overall performance in 2020 from food products has significantly increased as the products were considered necessary during the pandemic. Moreover, the products are convenient and satisfy the needs of health-conscious consumers. Moreover, amount of exported cassava starch has recovered noticeably, especially in China with it’s increasing demand. Other countries have started to return to normal which the company believes will strengthen growth of the overall operation in the first quarter, supported by factors such as increased demand and export prices. The Company is ready to move towards the new business producing “Bio-plastic” from agricultural products. Bioplastic can be 100% biodegraded. The products will be produced as packaging and used in agricultural practices and the income from them is estimated to be realized at the end of the year.
